Setogawa canal is set against a background of a row of old white-walled earthen storehouses and stone temple walls, and 1,000 carp of various colors can be found swimming within it. It is also one of the most popular spots of castle town, Hida Furukawa, because of its natural ability to bring up emotional responses and relaxing feelings to visitors. The scenery is beautiful in all four seasons, and each season has its own good points and characteristics.
